Avoid This if You Want to Grow Hair

If respiratory illnesses, heart disease, premature aging and cancer are not reason enough for many smokers to quit maybe focusing on how smoking makes you lose your hair will do the trick.
You may be familiarized with the fact that smoking is a leading cause for numerous health problems and diseases. Now, recent medical studies have discovered a link between smoking, hair loss and hair graying.
A study performed on a group of 740 men by scientists in Taiwan found a greater rate of hair loss among smokers.
The study was conducted on men from 40 to 91 years old; this is notable due to the fact that Asian men generally have low rates of hereditary baldness.
A report in the journal BMJ studies more than 600 men and women, half of them smokers. The research found a significant and consistent link between smoking and early graying.
Epidemiological studies show smoking causes hair loss because the toxins in smoke can harm hair follicles and damage hormones.
Smoking has also been proven to cause poor body circulation, which can greatly affect the amount of blood delivered to your scalp.
For a hair follicle to function normally and produce hair growth the cells must receive the right amount of nutrients, minerals and oxygen all delivered through blood circulation.
The bottom line is smoking is awful to your health and now it’s proven to have greater effects on your appearance, quitting and detoxing is the only way to avoid hair loss caused by smoking.
If you want to quit the best tips I can give you is: Detox and meditate!
Quitting smoking like any other addictive behavior is no easy task, take one day at a time and even though you may fall off the wagon just pick yourself up and try again.
Meditation will give you the tools to connect with a higher power and find love within you to help you stay clean.
Quitting will greatly improve your appearance for sure but most importantly you will be able to have a much more decent quality of life.
No one said it’s easy, but the reward is well worth it!
